My goal is to make speech growth an engaging and positive experience, equipping children with the skills they need to express themselves clearly and confidently. Laura's Speech Tutoring offers expert guidance and practical strategies to support meaningful communication progress.
About Me:
I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and have dedicated nearly 20 years to serving students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist-Limited (SLP-L) / Speech Language Technician (SLT). Since 2006, I have held an SLP-L license with the Arizona Department of Health Services and a Speech-Language Technician (SLT), (Pre-K-12) license with the Arizona Department of Education, working extensively with students from preschool through 12th grade.
Throughout my career, I have specialized in evaluating and treating a wide range of communication challenges, including receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation, fluency, voice, social/pragmatic language, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). With two decades of experience , I now bring my expertise to the public through high-quality virtual speech-language tutoring.
At Laura’s Speech Tutoring, I offer personalized, non-clinical speech and language support to individuals and families. My mission is to empower individuals with the skills and confidence they need to express themselves effectively.
While I provide educational coaching, structured practice, and consultation, I do not conduct formal evaluations, diagnose speech-language disorders, or provide therapy services. My tutoring services are separate from speech-language pathology and do not replace therapy. Additionally, I do not bill insurance for my services. although I am an approve vendor with the state of Arizona and do accept payment through Classwallet.
